Hanover High Football visits Friends (Aug 2019)

The Hanover High School Football team, led by former Friends Program mentor and football coach Sam Cavallaro, treated mentees and mentors in our youth mentoring program to hot stacks of delicious pizza from Constantly Pizza. Once fueled up, team members broke into a spontaneous and active pick-up game of football, encouraging mentees who had a chance to be stars of the day. Team Captains passed out gifts for all mentees there, plus they are sending some team practice shirts along for each mentee who participated. It is impressive that they went out of their way after a travel game to make a special stop at the Friends Program to deliver such a positive message of thoughtful support directly to kids we serve. No doubt they have a new batch of fans to cheer the team on this season as well.  Hanover High School can be proud of such great ambassadors. Go Marauders!! Thanks Coach Cav for your three years of service mentoring a youngster in our Program and for continuing to keep our mentoring program in your thoughts. Granite State Dairy was also very generous in offering a variety of ice cream for all—perfect for an end of summer day.
