Celebrating Seniors (June 2018)

The Friends Program, GoodLife Programs & Activities, and Red River Theatres partnered for a special screening of Lives Well Lived in the Stonyfield Cinema at Red River Theatres. This screening included a post-film discussion with (L-R) Jen, Friends Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Coordinator, joined by local seniors including Jackie, Friends Foster Grandparent Program volunteer; Barbara, Friends RSVP Bone Builders volunteer at GoodLife; Lou (age 102 years young!), Friends RSVP Caregivers client; and Mary, Friends RSVP Caregivers volunteer.

Lives Well Lived is a documentary film by Sky Bergman that celebrates the incredible wit, wisdom, experience, and insight of senior citizen - ranging from 75 to 100 years old - who are living their lives to the fullest. They share their intimate memories and inspiring personal histories complemented by archival footage, pictures, and home movies. These seniors have led long and meaningful lives by overcoming many challenges while realizing there is much to celebrate.
